Born in Fort de France, Martinique, Alain Joséphine is holder of a Higher National Diploma in Plastic Expression, obtained at the School of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts in Bordeaux. He questions in his paintings and drawings the spaces that rocked his childhood.
He grew up in the small commune of Riviere-Pilote, whose landscapes of peaks and troughs the artist has depicted throughout his painting career. In these rugged lands, the relationship with the natural space is as tangible as the artist’s relationship with his paintings.
