Oluwasemilore Delano

between slumped shoulders held the moon in waiting

TAFETA is pleased to present between slumped shoulders held the moon in waiting, the first solo exhibition by Oluwasemilore Delano in the gallery. This body of work continues Delano’s long attentive engagement with cows in Nigeria, not as pastoral symbols, but as a signifier of human instinct, honesty, beauty and roughness. These animals appear not as softened European archetypes but as scarred, awkward, strong and quietly secretive beings. They graze, stand, wait and endure within landscapes that feel both familiar and strange, carrying narratives that unfold slowly like riddles told under a shifting sky.
